City of Tetonia.... Gateway to the Tetons! Where Adventure Begins!

Tetonia, Idaho lies parallel with the majestic Teton Range and carries on the traditions of the West, while looking ahead to change and new growth.

In Tetonia, we are defined less by boundaries on a map than by the sense of shared values our residents hold dear. Small town values, guided growth, preservation of historical, cultural, and natural heritage are just a few of the core principles that makes Tetonia a wonderful place to call home.

We are so excited that Team Tetonia, USA had great success at the 45th Sapporo International Snow Carving competition in Japan.

They beat out some of the top carvers in the world, including China, Korea, Finland, Poland, Australia, Hawaii, Indonesia and won the bronze just behind the two top teams for over 20 years Thailand and Macao, Singapore so we are very proud of them.

They were the only team with two women and they gave the big boys a run for their money.

Our team consisted of:

Natalie Clark, Sculptor Team leader
Jan Tice, fiber artist
Cristiano Benassi, sculptor

Each team had a 3x3 meter block of snow and four 9am to 9pm days using only hand tools to complete the sculptures.

Way to go, Team!!!!
